A quick hello from George Wood, CPA

What we need from you

To get your account set up correctly and start working on your behalf, we need a few things from you. Here's exactly what to do and why each item matters.

3 steps to complete

1. Accept your TaxDome invitation

2. Upload your prior 2 years of tax returns

3. Invite CAS as your accountant in QuickBooks Online

1

Why this matters: TaxDome is our secure, encrypted communication and document hub. Email and text are not secure methods for sharing sensitive financial information. Everything — documents, messages, invoices, signatures — happens through TaxDome to keep your data safe and in one place.

Accept your TaxDome invitation

Check your inbox (and spam folder) for a TaxDome invite from CAS. You'll receive two separate invites — one for your Business portal and one for your Personal portal. Create your password and log in to both. Can't find the email? Let us know and we'll resend it.

2

Upload your prior 2 years of tax returns

Once inside TaxDome, go to Documents in the left sidebar and upload your two most recently filed tax returns — both business and personal. If you have both, upload all four documents.

Why this matters: Your prior returns are the foundation of everything we do. They show us your historical filing positions, any carry-forwards, depreciation schedules, and prior-year elections that directly affect your current-year strategy. Without them, we're working blind.

3

Invite CAS as your accountant in QuickBooks Online

In your QuickBooks Online account, invite us as your Accountant user — not Admin. This is a critical distinction: Accountant access gives us what we need to do our work without changing your company's ownership or billing settings.

Why this matters: Without QBO access we can't see your transactions, run reports, or reconcile your books. Inviting us as Accountant (not Admin) is also best practice — it keeps your account ownership secure while giving us the professional access level designed for your CPA.
